The definitive guide to skiing and snow boarding on real snow with real ski lifts
in the mountains of Cumbria, Northumberland and County Durham

Allenheads

Long wide sheltered slopes - ideal for all levels of skier and boarder. The lower altitude gives better skiing during inclement weather and the road access is more reliable than that to higher Pennine tows. Restrictions imposed by the landowner mean that the lifts can be used by members only, but that is not a problem as you can turn up, join up on the spot and ski.
