Daylodge:
This is the highest building in England and dates from
the early 1950's. It was recently rebuilt and named the
Millennium Hut. It has tables, chairs, electric heating
and tea making facilities. There is also a generator shed. |

Glenridding
is 20 miles Southwest of Penrith on the A592. Drive up towards
the Youth Hostel at Greenside. Members' cars (with club sticker)
can be parked at the mines - see signpost; non members will
have to find a spot before the end of the public road. The walk
from the car takes about 60 minutes. |
