The definitive guide to skiing and snow boarding on real snow with real ski lifts
in the mountains of Cumbria, Northumberland and County Durham
Retrospective - 2002 Season

Little snow and not much activity.

A few good days skiing and boarding were had on Raise and at Swinhope, but basically the whole thing was a washout.
Yad Moss was never running properly and I believe there was little doing at Harwood and Allenheads, though the road from Alston was blocked one day, before a quick thaw.

A note from the Editor:

Bit of a bad job all round, I'm afraid. A very poor winter, but there you have it.

English skiing at its worst.

Not much to be done but hope for better next year.
