Daylodge:
At the middle station is the very impressive Fendrith
Lodge. It has a sun terrace, a smart cafe area with no
smoking section and real toilets. The slopes are kept
groomed by a genuine Kassböhrer piste basher. |

Take
the A689 from Alston for 16 miles to Daddry Shield. Turn
South at the Brotherlee turnoff and follow the road for
a few hundred yards. Turn right at the unsigned crossroads
and continue up the road for a couple of miles. The tow
is on the left 100m before the first gate. Park at Grid
Ref 896 343 The walk from the car takes 5 minutes. |
